ALL of the Beefeaters have served exemplary careers (22 or more years) in the British Army before they can even be considered for the job. ALL of them have served their Queen and country courageously through good and bad times. These men and women of the Yeomanry have led their fellow soldiers in peace and war time. They deserve to be treated with enormous respect by those visiting one of England’s great historical sites. This respect includes being asked for permission to photograph them. The first tourist obviously was mindful of this. You were not. Consider yourself lucky you were not ejected!
